He dreamt of paradise. It’s a pretty place to be because he forges everything: the land, the weather, the people, his friends. It’s perfect. His world is perfect. 

Time has become a foreign thing (when was the beginning? it’s been years perhaps) but it’s okay because he believes in the concept of forever. It’s only when he feels his dream collapsing that he remembers what being naive is. He grasps four of his friends’ hands and pulls them, begging in shaky breaths for them to come with him. “You can’t,” they say. “Did you forget? We only exist in your head now.” Yunho wishes they wouldn’t smile like that, the smiles that whisper goodbye.

He wakes up in a room of white washed walls and heart monitor beeps. It smells like death and Yunho thinks he might as well be.
